About our club
We meet every Wednesday at 7:15 pm in Chalet #1 at Trudeau Park (formerly named Centennial Park) in Cote-St.-Luc. The actual address is 6975 Mackle.
Anyone is welcome to visit or join. We have players of all skill levels, from novices to world champions (literally!). We are less structured than most Scrabble clubs in that you don't have to play a certain number of games. On the last Wednesday of every month we have a slightly more formal club tournament - if you come on one of those nights it's best to arrive on time and be prepared to stay for four games.
As with most Scrabble clubs, the atmosphere is friendly but the games are competitive. As veteran U.S. player Stu Goldman observed, There are two kinds of people who come to a Scrabble club for the first time. One kind gets beaten very badly, and they say, "This is awful. I'm never coming here again!" The other kind also gets beaten very badly, but they say, "I love this game. I'm gonna learn how to play it." We certainly hope you'll enjoy yourself and come back again and again like so many of us do.
How to get there
To get there by public transportation, try STCUM - Tous azimuts Summary. It will suggest bus and metro routes for you, and now includes a Google Maps option.
You can try this map of the area from MapQuest. This map zooms in on the neighborhood of the club itself.
