The original recipe comes with the following caveat:<br \/>\n<b>Warning &#8211; Highly Addictive<\/b><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n1 sleeve unsalted* soda crackers<br \/>\n1\/2 pound butter<br \/>\n1 cup brown sugar (tightly packed)<br \/>\n1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips<br \/>\n*I have used salted crackers with great success &#8211; I suggest salted crackers if you&#8217;re using unsalted butted, and vice versa.<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 325<FONT FACE=\"Symbol\">&#176;<\/FONT>.<br \/>\nGrease bottom and sides of cookie sheet &#8211; you&#8217;ll definitely need a cookie sheet with sides. Cover bottom of cookie sheet with one layer of soda crackers.<br \/>\nBoil together butter and brown sugar in a pot over medium-high heat to a thick yellow-brown syrup. Pour syrup over crackers, spread evenly and bake for 12 minutes.<br \/>\nRemove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. As the chocolate chips melt, spread\/swirl with knife or spatula to cover the whole sheet.<br \/>\nRefrigerate for 2 hours and then break into chunks.
